Jungle safari is a one hr drive into the forest. It is conducted in association with the forest department . Our naturalist and wildlife experts help children identifying all the animals spotted during the safari and also help children understand wild animal behavior to an extent. Jungle safari helps children understand more about the flora and fauna of the western Ghats . It is the best chance for the kids to explore the hidden treasures of Indian Jungle and practically view wildlife at its natural environment.
The best part of our camp is the Jungle safari at mudumalai or Bandipur conducted by the forest department. Each safari will be of 1.5 hrs during which children will be taken into the forest on a secure van along with the guides.
Various wild animals that may be spotted during safari are Guar (wrongly called Indian Bison), spotted deer, sambar deer, elephants, leopards, porcupine, mongoose, fox, dholes (wild dogs), monitor lizards, langurs, etc. Children will be encouraged to notice the behaviour of every animal that is spotted during the safari and the same will be discussed during the theory session of wild animal behaviour and tracking.
